6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at Loft Hotel Montreal. While the location was fantastic, close to the Sherbrooke metro station and many restaurants, some aspects left much to be desired. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the heater was quite noisy, and I still needed to navigate some service hiccups. Overall, I appreciated the unique architecture and the helpful staff, but I felt there could be improvements in room comfort and check-in processes.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was enormous, clean, and well-designed. However, the heating system was inadequate, leading to a less comfortable stay. I really loved the space, but it felt a bit too chilly without proper heating.
Service
6.0
Service had its ups and downs. Some staff members were quite friendly and accommodating, while others did not offer the level of assistance I expected, especially during check-in. It felt like there could have been better communication regarding room availability.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is unbeatable. It's nestled right on Rue St-Denis, close to lively streets and easy to walk to the harbour and Old Montreal, which made exploring the area a breeze. Plus, it's convenient for getting to and from the airport.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent, but a hot breakfast would have really elevated the experience. Breakfast was served at the reception area, which felt a bit inadequate considering the overall vibe of the hotel. I missed having coffee available too.
Facilities
7.0
The vintage architecture and design elements were striking. The huge elevator and retro feel were enjoyable, but there were some minor maintenance issues, like laundry facilities needing attention. Overall, the place has character.

6.2/10

My stay at Loft Hotel Montreal was a mix of charming and quirky elements. I loved the unique room design, though mine was a bit darker with small windows. The location was fantastic with many dining options nearby, but I found the surrounding area a bit grubby. The staff was friendly, and while I appreciated the cleanliness inside, there were some minor maintenance issues, which slightly detracted from the experience.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and had a quirky layout. though it felt dark due to small windows. I enjoyed the aesthetic overall, but some rooms are truly gorgeous while others are just average.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally accommodating and pleasant. although I encountered some minor downsides like unaddressed maintenance issues in my room.
Location
7.0
Located on St. Denis, the hotel was great for exploring the vibrant Latin Quarter. yet the surrounding district felt a bit unkempt and it was a little far to walk to major attractions.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was simple and self-serve. offering a decent selection but nothing extravagant. It was adequate for my needs, but I wouldn't call it nice.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were generally clean, although some areas felt a bit dated. and the elevator had an unpleasant odor. Overall, it was satisfactory but could use some updates.

5.8/10

My stay at Loft Hotel Montreal had its highlights, particularly the spacious and unique rooms that truly felt like lofts. The location was fantastic, surrounded by restaurants and amenities, making exploration easy. However, there were a few drawbacks like the timing of housekeeping and a rather plain breakfast setup that could use some improvements.

Rooms
10.0
The room was enormous and beautifully decorated with exposed brick and modern art. I felt luxurious every time I stepped inside.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping us with our bags and providing helpful answers to our questions.
Location
10.0
The hotel is in a prime location, close to transit and a variety of restaurants, making it easy to enjoy Montreal.

While the continental breakfast was provided, it was quite basic and could use more variety like fresh fruit.

The facilities were generally clean, but the breakfast area felt a bit inadequate during peak times.

5.6/10

My stay at Loft Hotel Montreal was a mixed bag. On the plus side, the rooms were spacious and stylish, with modern aesthetics and comfortable amenities. However, I found the service to be intrusive at times, and the front desk's constant monitoring detracted from the experience. The location was convenient for exploring, but I had some unsettling encounters.

Rooms
7.0
My room was large and creatively decorated, but it had a slightly unfinished feel. The antique furniture added character, yet it could have benefited from better finishing.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally friendly, but I felt uncomfortable with how closely they monitored guests. I received multiple calls checking my movements, which was quite off-putting.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from Sherbrooke Metro station and near various restaurants and nightlife options, making it easy to explore Montreal.
Dining
5.0
While they offered a continental breakfast, I found the choices limited. The dining experience didn’t quite match the overall image of the hotel.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some decent amenities like laundry facilities and spacious rooms, but the additional fees for items like utensils felt excessive.

6.8/10

My stay at Loft Hotel Montreal was mostly a positive experience. The location is fantastic for exploring the city's food scene, and the room was spacious and stylish. However, I did find some issues with amenities like the lack of coffee and inconsistent service in the dining area.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms are enormous and bright, with funky decor and a super comfortable bed. I loved the full kitchen space and the shower had great pressure. Although the blackout curtains could be better at blocking outside light, I was really impressed by the overall room layout.
Service
7.0
While most staff were friendly and helpful, there were moments where service felt a bit inconsistent, like when I needed some assistance at the front desk. I appreciate that they tried to help, but I had to ask a few times for simple things.
Location
10.0
The location is a major highlight! It's close to amazing restaurants, shops, and even a retro arcade bar just across the street. Plus, I could easily stroll to Old Montreal and enjoy all the attractions without needing transportation.
Dining
6.0
The continental breakfast was decent, but I felt it could've offered more variety. I missed having coffee available in the room or lobby, as it meant an extra trip downstairs every morning.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has some great amenities, but I noticed some issues like the parking situation, which wasn't as straightforward as I hoped. Additionally, the lounge areas were nice but could use a bit more attention to comfort.
